Gaming marketplace Driffle raises seed round from BEENEXT and others

Digital gaming marketplace Driffle has raised $3.4 million in its seed round led by BEENEXT and other investors, including JAFCO Asia, Taurus Ventures, Better Capital and White Venture Capital. The seed round also witnessed participation of Kunal Shah, Maninder Gulati, Amit Damani, Archana Priyadarshani, and Arun Venkatachalam.

The proceeds will be utilised for hiring, strengthening its tech infrastructure, product development and making foray into newer markets, Driffle said in a press release.

Founded in 2021 by Chetan Bhardwaj, Gaurav Kumar Jha and Abhishek Kumar, Driffle sells games, digital gift cards and gaming points for gamers. In a nutshell, it’s a digital gaming marketplace where games are delivered instantly in less than 10 seconds by providing an email address and fulfilling the payment process in local currencies via preferred payment methods. According to the company, the platform also caters to a large segment of sellers across the globe, with the lowest commissions and more transparent terms.

Delaware and Bengaluru-based Driffle says it is currently available in over 100 countries spanning South East Asia and Europe and accepts over 100 different currencies. It also claims to overcome the complications of payment fraud and cross-border distribution.

Early-stage focused BEENEXT primarily in South East Asia, India and Japan. In June 2020, the Singapore-based venture capital firm announced the close of its new fund to invest in early-stage startups in India. Recently, it backed health and fitness SaaS platform FitBudd and live commerce platform Shopr.TV.

Since its establishment in 2015, it has invested in over 200 companies globally.
