How to Make Everyday Best Day

How to Make Everyday Best Day

Make each day your masterpiece. —John Wooden

How do you make the most of every day? You make every day count. The secret to doing that lies in paying attention to the small things you do.

Our lives are a large collection of single days one right after the other. The sun rises, sets, and rises again. And in the end, the lives we choose to live will be determined by how we choose to spend each day.So many people go around saying that they want to change their lives and that they want to live more meaningful and happier lives but because they perceive change as something that’s out there in the future, far away from where they are, they start feeling overwhelmed and eventually give up.

Well, since our life is made up of days and since we can change the quality of our lives by changing the quality of our days, today’s post is meant to help you change your life without feeling overwhelmed. By taking one step at a time, one day at a time…

Simple steps to make the most of everyday

1.Morning Routine

Early mornings are quiet, peaceful, productive, energizing… spending 5 – 10 minutes in silence, jogging, walking, stretching, preparing and drinking your tea peacefully and undisturbed will do wonders for you.Morning is the time when you set the tone for your entire day and if you don’t have a healthy, positive and empowering morning routine, it’s time to create one.

2.Know Your Daily Goals

If you know what you want to achieve each day then you’ll feel like you’ve been productive.Always priorities what you NEED to do first – you’ll always feel more productive at the end of the day if you get at least these things done.

3.Know Your to do List

Have a master “TO DO” list in the front of your diary – for items that you want to get done at some point, but that don’t have a specific date to be done by. When you are planning your day and have any free time, take a look at this list and add something into your plan.

Try and aim to do one of these items a week or a month (depending on their size) – then you will not only get the day to day stuff done, but also tackle more long term goals.

4.Be Present

How many times do you wake up and the next thing you know you’re back in your bed, getting ready to sleep? Some days can drag on forever, and some pass by very quickly- too quickly at times. Staying mindful and present during your mornings or the times you spend with people that are close to you will help you appreciate those little “everyday” things. You also become calmer and happier, the more you live in the “now.” Pay attention and be present (especially when interacting with others) instead of rushing through your day or wasting your time wishing you were someplace else.

5.Let go of That No Longer Serves You

Every day is a new life for a wise person and if there are things, people and experiences that hold you back in life, making your days less happy and less meaningful than it should be, see if you can let them go. Don’t  burden yourself by carrying their heavy weight on your shoulders. Tie no weights to yourself. Travel light. Let them all go.

6.Do What You Love

f you go through a whole day being busy then yes, you’re being productive – but you may not feel as productive because you haven’t done something that makes you smile.

Make sure you do at least one thing a day for you specifically…

7.Reset

Tomorrow is another day with great potential and opportunity. You’ll want to begin it with a clean slate and a fresh start. Take 10 minutes each evening to clear the clutter and refresh your home for the next day. Tomorrow’s self will thank you for it.

“Every day brings a chance for you to draw in a breath, kick off your shoes, and dance.”
– Oprah Winfrey

“Every day is a new beginning. Treat it that way. Stay away from what might have been, and look at what can be.”
– Marsha Petrie Sue
