Anduril is going to put its software into a special headset made by Microsoft for the US military. This headset is used for training and can show soldiers information that is beyond what they can see with their eyes.
For example, the headset can show soldiers information about drones, ground vehicles, or aerial defense systems that are too far away to see. This can help soldiers make better decisions during battles.
Palmer Luckey thinks this technology can make a big difference. He says that if an augmented reality display can make soldiers 20% more effective or make them 10% safer, it’s a big deal.
Anduril has been very successful recently. They won a contract to build an autonomous fighter jet for the US military, and they raised money at a valuation of $14 billion.
